Belief Statement
The Upper Room believes in One God, the Father and creator of all things. We believe the Bible is true. Therefore, we believe there is only one way to the Father and that is through Jesus, the Christ. By his death and resurrection all people can receive forgiveness for sin and eternal life. With the indwelling of Holy Spirit, we receive power to live, serve and love like Jesus.

We believe God loves you and all people, passionately. He has given you His Word as a promise and testimony of His unfailing love. As the One true God and Creator, He wants a relationship with His most magnificent creation, you. But personal sin separates you and everyone from God. He is holy; we are not. His love is bigger than your darkest sin and He offered a onetime payment for you and anyone who would accept it. Jesus was and still is that payment. He died so that your sins can be forgiven and you can have a relationship with God, which is what God wants desperately and why we were created. God raised Jesus from the dead and He is now with God in heaven praying for you and is petitioning God on your behalf. Jesus is the only way to a relationship with God. Anyone, everyone, who believes in his heart that God is who He says He is and that Jesus did everything the scriptures reveal, shall be saved. The Bible is clear that salvation is freedom from the punishment we all deserve for our personal sins. Salvation is also the gift of a forever life with God instead of eternal death.

He was with God in the beginning.” Romans 3:23 “For God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” John 1:12 Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” John 10:27-29 “My sheep listen to my voice, I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.” John 15:26 “When the Counselor comes whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me [Jesus].
