Board of Directors
The Upper Room is a 501C-3 ministry with a Board of Directors with fiduciary and administrative oversight.
Chairman of The Board- Daryl Nichols darylnichols1932@yahoo.com Daryl is the owner and operator of Nichols Custom Fabrications. He is passionate about the Upper Room and serving the community. Daryl is also part of our Sound & video Tech Team. He joined The Upper Room team in 2019.
Vice Chairman- Christy Edwards christyloveedwards@gmail.com Christy is founder of At the Well Ministry.- She is passionate about the mission and vision of cultivating a community of believers and reaching the lost! She has been in ministry for over 20 years leading and teaching God’s word. She is married to Brent and they have 2 children Parker and Hope. In her free time Christy loves to travel.
Secretary- Karen Zika Karen has been foundational in the Upper Room, joining the team in 2005. She is the creator and owner of Sew Glorious. She is a passionate teacher, speaker, and provides spiritual oversight within our organization.

Member - Laura Karriker joined our team in 2020. Laura is a Statesville native, visited the Upper Room as a teen and knows the impact of our ministry. She has brought new vision and young ideas to our organization.
Member- Pastor Tim Brower timbrower@hotmail.com Tim has been working with the Upper Room as Pastor of the Oaks Church and Campus Impact for several years. His leadership in the community and spiritual maturity are assets to our Board.

Member - Brenda Latham brenbrisk49@gmail.com Brenda started volunteering at the Upper Room in 2009. She loves being a part of this ministry. Brenda is retired and loves to travel, watch tv and go camping. Mostly she enjoys going to her church and being at the Upper Room. Brenda is a vital part of this ministry.
