THE UPPER ROOM MUSICIAN INFORMATION FORM

The Upper Room is a Christian ministry that has an effective outreach to high school and college age young people. The environment is one of a coffee house on the street level and a band room on the lower level. Since it is a place of ministry, lyrics need to be messages that encourage one’s walk with the Lord, therefore musicians are required to also have a time of sharing or testimony.

A split of the cover charge, which generally covers “gas money“ is the only compensation bands receive. You are welcome to set up a merchandise table of your music and items for sale.

When scheduled, praise and worship/mellow music generally plays on the street level stage, and is generally considered “background” music. Bands play downstairs beginning at 9:00pm, and usually finish by 11:00pm. Sound checks for bands are worked around an 8pm Bible study. Bands may arrive at 6:30pm to begin set up. Please make sure you sign the musicians wall after you play. Thank you for being a part of the Body of Christ by sharing your gift of music and message.

THERE REMAINS A REGULATION OF ABSOLUTELY NO PYROTECHNICS! ALL LIGHTING MUST BE PRE-APPROVED BY NIGHT SUPERVISOR. ALSO, NO NEW OUT-OF-STATE BANDS ARE BEING SCHEDULED AT THIS TIME.
